Someone with way hair, I have always been keen on knowing different methods of how to style wavy hair. I like how our wavy hair has a unique texture if we see how it is a perfect balance between both the straight and curly hair.
At times, it feels like a struggle to set them right or you know, style them well. But here goes nothing, I will help you with a few ideas on how to style wavy hair!
So if you ever wonder what even is the deal with wavy hair, it’s literally about the texture! I do notice how wavy hair has soft bends and curves that usually make up volume in our hair. But I hate how with those volumes, we do face a lot of frizz problems. Now, I will tell you exactly how to style wavy hair without having the frustration of frizz.
Okay, now I suggest that you pick a shampoo and a conditioner that suits your type of wavy hair perfectly, if you wanna keep them healthy. I mean you could have a dry scalp, a combination or oily, it really depends on that as well. And please, I want you to not skip conditioner, it is really important for you to use conditioner after shampooing so that your waves stay moisturized.
I would say that you should invest in a wide-tooth comb or a detangling brush to gently get rise of the knots so that you don’t cause any type of breakage or hair fall. For hair products, try that you use light-weighted products like mousses or nourishing oils.
After washing and conditioning your hair, you should gently squeeze your hair with a microfiber towel so that the excess water just drains off, you could do that with a cotton t-shirt too, and don’t rub it off, just try gentle squeezing.
After that, apply a lightweight curl cream or mousse to your damp hair, slowly scrunching from the ends to the roots. After you do that, let your hair dry and you will see an increase in the volume of your wavy hair.

I feel like eat styling tools can make our wavy hair look much nicer, obviously. At first, just apply a heat protectant spray when your hair is dry and try spraying more on the mid-lengths and ends to protect them from any kind of heat damage.
Now, just grab the wand or iron and slowly wrap small amounts of hair sections around the barrel. Make sure you hold it for only a few strong seconds and release it.
Pro Tip: You can also just curl alternative sections of your hair sections so that it looks more natural. Once you are done with curling, you just have to gently open the locks a little bit with your fingers.
You just have to part your hair sections into two or three and braid each other loosely, and after you do that, just secure them with a hair tie. You can also try twisting small sections of hair around your fingers and pin them properly in place for a cute look.
In such issues, I would say that you get yourself a high-quality anti-frizz serum or cream to make those strands look a bit drier and still very fluffy. Just apply a small amount to your damp or dry hair, and gently spread it through with your fingers.
You can also use a dry shampoo that is mainly made for giving volume and spray it to your roots, focusing on the crown area. After that, just use your fingertips to massage into your scalp, and that will for sure give you a lift and fluffiness to your hair instantly.
If you ever feel like your wavy hair is feeling a bit greasy then you should use a lightweight shampoo so that it easily absorbs excess oil and makes your locks look refreshed again. And if you have a dryness issue, then use a nourishing hair mask to restore shine.
And now if you follow these tips by me, you will be a pro at how to style wavy hair. Just find the right products, use it in the right way, and you can always have a nice wavy hair day, for sure.
