Coconut Oil Mask for Wavy Hair – Best Product I Recommend!

Table of Contents

Hair Care is a must when you have wavy hair and regular oiling can turn out to be one of the nicest routines to reduce hair fall and strengthen the hair roots. I do exactly the same and I face no hair fall issues as of such. My first choice is always a Coconut Oil Mask that works wonders for me.

You just have to trust the process and you will be in love with the results. I will tell you exactly which one and how to use Coconut Oil Mask for Wavy Hair.

How to Use Coconut Oil Mask for Wavy Hair as a Deep Treatment Conditioning Mask

Many people wonder if Coconut OIl actually works on Wavy Hair? My strategies and tips will definitely help you the way it helped me. I will tell you exactly how to apply it by first preparing your hair, then preparing the coconut oil and finally, how to properly apply it. Keep reading where I will tell you exactly how I use it and remove any residues easily so that it benefits you well.

What Kind of Coconut Oil?

There are many varieties of available  coconut  oil but the amount of minerals and ingredients do affect the hair’s health and that is why I recommend a coconut oil that is cold pressed or refined.

My favorite hair oil is this one, Viva Naturals Organic Coconut Oil and it can also be used for cooking, and on the skin too. I prefer the refined version since it retains the amazing values of nutrients that could be helpful for my hair.

Melt Coconut Oil with INDIRECT Heat

This method is super healthy and the best for oiling purposes. I always use this method and it has been my permanent habit now. All you have to do is fill a bowl with hot water and in another glass container, just add a tablespoon or two and place it on top of the bowl that has the hot water.

It will melt quickly and then you can use it accordingly. Do not heat it in the microwave because it can burn out its nutrients.

Prepping Wavy Hair for Coconut Oil Hair Mask

Use a wide-tooth comb or a tangle teezer to detangle your hair. Detangling is really important so that the coconut oil can be spread and distributed equally in all parts. If your hair goes straight, then it’s even nicer for the coconut oil to be spread properly.

Applying Coconut Oil to Wavy Hair

Okay and now that your coconut oil has melted and your hair is completely detangled, start applying it gently and slowly. You can wear an old tee so that if any drop of oil spills, it doesn’t ruin your new fit.

For Long Hair: You can dip the ends of your hair in the container and use the oil upwards from the bottom. Prioritize the end more and later keep going till the scalp. After oiling, you can just squeeze your hair to remove any amount of excess oil that is left on the hair.

For Medium/Short Hair: What you can do is simply dip your fingers in the oil and then rub it evenly between your palms. Then, properly apply it on and in all the areas and then drip out any excess oil from the hair.

Now, after oiling, keep it on for at least 30 mins with a twisted bun or braid and then take a shower. I don’t recommend leaving it overnight since it forms more buildups and residues and the pillow cases too, gets spoiled.

Removing a Coconut Oil Mask

What you have to do is take a small amount of shampoo to your hair before using water and massage it well in your scalp that will loosen up any buildup and stubborn oil and then, quickly wash it away. Shampoo it again, normally and rinse it well while taking time to massage your scalp.

Styling After a Coconut Oil Mask

After conditioning your hair, carefully detangle your hair and don’t be harsh with it. Aster shampoo, use an extra amount of conditioner and detangle very gently. Then, rinse out the hair. After this, you can also use a dab of argan oil or leave in the conditioner for extra moisture.

Conclusion

My constant is using coconut oil mask for wavy hair as it deeply conditions my hair, gives me a lock of protection, reduces frizz, and leaves it shiny. Make sure that you use it with care and with proper ways to benefit from the use of the coconut oil.

FAQs

I have noticed that Coconut oil always moisturizes deeply, adds shine, and reduces frizz and hair fall.

You can use it once a week for the best results.

You can but it’s not recommended since it is more prone to buildups and greasy messes.

Not if you use it with even spread and focus more on the mid-lengths.
